The website www.Sodastream.co.za (“website”) is owned and operated by Sodastream (SA) (PTY) Ltd., registration number 1992/005257/07 (“Sodastream” or "We").
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the sale of products by Sodastream to you.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order with Sodastream. By placing an order with Sodastream, you signify your agreement to be bound by these Terms.
Your order is an offer to Sodastream to buy the product(s) in your order. When you place an order to purchase a product from Sodastream, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order ("Order Confirmation E-mail"). The Order Confirmation E-mail is acknowledgement that we have received your order, and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) ordered. We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you. Your contract is with Sodastream (SA) (PTY) Ltd. Sodastream will provide the product(s) to you in conformity with this contract. Without affecting your right of withdrawal set out in section 2 below, you can cancel your order for a product at no cost any time before we dispatch your order.

2.1 We place details of our products on our website for your perusal, including photographs. Photographs are for illustrative purposes only and the appearance of the products may vary.
2.2 Subject to Condition 2.1 above, the products shall materially conform to their description on the website.
2.3 Our sparkling water makers also come with a two-year limited warranty. Details of this warranty may be found at this webpage.
3. RETURNS
3.1 In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), if you purchased your Sodastream product through our website, you are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period. This means:
- You may return the product within 7 days of receiving it, for any reason.
- You will receive a full refund, provided the product is unused and in its original packaging.
- You may be responsible for the cost of returning the item.
3.2 If more than 7 days have passed, but you're still within 30 days of purchase, we offer:
- An exchange for a product of similar value, if the original item is unused and in resalable condition.
- This applies to items purchased directly from our website and excludes consumables (e.g., syrups, gas cylinders once used).
3.3 Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you have the right to return a product within 6 months if it:
- Is defective or not of acceptable quality.
- Does not perform as advertised or promised.
- In such cases, you may choose a refund, replacement, or repair, at no cost to you
3.4 Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that products are returned to us with your order number so that we are able to identify your return. We strongly suggest that you use a form of recorded delivery as proof of return. If we do not receive your order number, we will not be able to issue you with a refund.
3.5 If after placing your order and before we have dispatched your order you change your mind, please contact our customer service team on 0800 00 22 91 or email us at Sodastreamdeliveries@pantryclub.co.za and we will cancel your order.
3.6 Nothing in this clause 3 affects your statutory rights of return if the products are faulty or your product warranty.

4. Gas Cylinder Exchange (South Africa)
4.1 Exchange Model - Sodastream South Africa operates a door‑to‑door gas cylinder exchange model for CO₂ gas cylinders (“Cylinders”). By placing an order for a gas refill, you agree to these terms.
4.2 Pricing and Ownership - Gas refill Cylinders are priced at the gas value only. Customers purchase the CO₂ gas contents and the limited right to use a Sodastream Cylinder. All Cylinders remain at all times the property of Sodastream.
4.3 Cylinder Exchange at Delivery - For each refill Cylinder ordered, the customer must provide one empty Sodastream Cylinder at the time of delivery. The number of empty Cylinders presented must match the number of refill Cylinders ordered.
4.4. No Empty Cylinder Available - If the customer does not have the required empty Cylinders available at delivery, the gas refill delivery may be refused, and the courier will return the full Cylinder to Sodastream. Any other products included in the same order will still be delivered.
4.5 Condition of Returned Cylinders - Returned Cylinders must be Sodastream‑branded, complete, and in substantially the same condition as when originally supplied. Sodastream may refuse to exchange Cylinders that are damaged, tampered with, or otherwise unsuitable for refill.
4.6 Method of Exchange - Cylinder exchanges are completed only at the time of delivery through Sodastream’s authorised courier. Cylinders may not be returned separately, by post, or at a later date.
4.7 Licence Terms - All Cylinders are supplied subject to the applicable Sodastream User Licence Agreement, as referenced on the Cylinder and/or accompanying materials.
5.1 All prices are inclusive of legally applicable VAT and are as shown on our website.
5.2 We list availability information for products sold by us on our website including on each product information page. Beyond what we say on that page or otherwise on the website, we cannot be more specific about availability. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail as soon as possible if any products you order turn out to be unavailable and you will not be charged for those products. Your order will not be accepted until such time as we provide you with a delivery confirmation.
5.3 We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your right to have the products sent to you within a reasonable time. If the delay occurs before the products are dispatched, we will not charge you for the products until they are dispatched and you may cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch.
5.4 You must pay for the products before we deliver them.
5.5 Payments can be made by credit or debit card (such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express and Verv), or by payment services such as Apple Pay. EFT, Apple Pay, SnapScan.
6.1 The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.
6.2 We are only able to deliver to valid physical address in the republic of South Africa.
6.3 Orders are processed within 24 hours of receiving, and once processed and shipped, your order should arrive within 2-5 business days (Estimated delivery time: JHB 1-3 days, DNB 1-3 days, CPT 3-5 days). We do not currently offer expedited shipping options. During Holiday and Peak shipment times, your order should arrive in 5-7 business days from the time of placement.
6.4 We and our courier service will endeavour to keep you updated on the progress of your order. Once you have placed an order, we will provide you with an order tracking number and communication.
7.1 In order to provide you with your order, we will process your process data in accordance with local data protection laws. For more information about how we use your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
8.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Sodastream’s liability for death or personal injury arising from Sodastream’s negligence, or its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sodastream expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms that might be otherwise included by law. Sodastream does provide a product warranty, full details of the Sodastream product warranty can be found by clicking here.
8.3 The customer is responsible for using the Sodastream products in strict conformity with the instructions that are provide with the products. Sodastream excludes all liability that arises as a result of the customer's use of the product in non-conformity of the instruction manual provided. If for any reason you do not receive an instruction manual, you should notify us (using the details outlined below) and we will send you an instruction manual either electronically or by post as soon as practicable.
8.4 Subject always to condition 7.1 above, our maximum liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise in relation to the products purchased by you shall be limited to the price you paid for the relevant products.
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, and the application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded. We both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, which means that you may bring a claim to enforce your consumer protection rights in connection with these Terms in South Africa.
We reserve the right to make changes to our website and policies, including these Terms at any time. You will be subject to the Terms in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those Terms is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it may apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these Terms is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
If you breach these Terms and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these Terms.
Rights under these Terms only accrue to the person placing the order and entering these Terms. Accordingly, a person who is not a party to these Terms shall have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or any similar legislation, to enforce any of its conditions, but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act or any similar legislation.
We do not sell products for purchase by children. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are over the age of 18 years. Any use of our products by anyone under 18 must be under the supervision of a person over the age of 18 years, in conformity with the product’s instruction manual.

This is a legally binding document between Sodastream Industries Ltd or its affiliates (“Sodastream”) and the consumer regarding the right to use a Sodastream CO2 Cylinder (the "Cylinder").
To protect users’ safety and health, various directives and regulations govern and regulate the use, refilling, maintenance, retesting and repair of the Cylinder. Sodastream possesses the legally required knowledge and expertise to be responsible for strict legal compliance. This can only be guaranteed if the Cylinder is maintained, examined, retested and refilled by it. Thus, the Cylinder remains the property of Sodastream and is provided to you under License.
1. When empty, please return the Cylinder to either Sodastream or an authorized Sodastream distributor in exchange for a full Cylinder, for the price of the gas refill only. This License will continue to bind the use of each subsequent Cylinder.
2. Refilling an empty Cylinder by third parties could be risky. Unauthorized refilling may violate the law and infringes Sodastream's rights. Sodastream warrants only the safety of Cylinders refilled by it, bearing a Sodastream tamper-proof valve seal.
3. If you return a Sodastream 60L Cylinder directly to Sodastream South Africa offices without exchanging it for a full cylinder, you will be eligible for a return fee of R100. All return delivery costs are for your own account. Upon receipt and verification of the returned cylinder, Sodastream will refund the return fee directly into your nominated bank account. For further information, please contact Sodastream Customer Care.
4. The Cylinder, together with this User License, may be transferred to a third party, provided the third party agrees to be bound by the conditions and ownership rights expressed herein. Possession of this User License proves the right of its holder to use one Cylinder under the terms herein.

The Cylinder is proprietary to Sodastream, patent pending and protected by other intellectual property rights. Further, to protect users’ safety and health, various directives and regulations govern and regulate the use, refilling, maintenance, retesting and repair of the Cylinder. Sodastream possesses the legally required knowledge and expertise to be responsible for strict legal compliance that can only be guaranteed if the Cylinder is maintained, examined, retested and refilled by it. Thus, the Cylinder remains the property of Sodastream and is provided under License.

Sodastream - Product Review Policy
1. Introduction
Sodastream encourages its customers to provide genuine feedback regarding their Sodastream product purchases.
This policy sets out how customers can submit reviews of Sodastream’s products through the Sodastream website (https://www.Sodastream.co.za) as well as how we verify and moderate these reviews. However, this policy does not apply to product reviews which are not submitted through the Sodastream website (e.g. reviews made through third parties such as Google, Amazon or Facebook, which may have their own review policies).
2. How to submit reviews of our products
If you purchase a product through the Sodastream website, you will be sent an email to the email address that you used in your online order asking for feedback on your product. This email will contain a link to submit a review of your product through the Sodastream website. Reviews which are submitted this way will be tagged as 'Verified Buyer' reviews on the Sodastream website, as we are able to verify that the review has come from someone who purchased our product.
If you purchased your Sodastream product from somewhere other than the Sodastream website, you can still submit a review through the 'write a review' function on the Sodastream website. As part of submitting a review this way, you will receive an email to confirm your email address. Email confirmation proves that the review was written by an actual person and was not generated by a bot. Reviews which are submitted this way will not be tagged as 'Verified Buyer' reviews, but as ‘Verified Reviewer’ reviews.
When you submit a review, you will be required to provide certain information, including your name, email, title, a 'star rating' out of five and your comment / feedback on the product. Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. If your review is published, only your first name, last initial, star rating and comment / feedback will be displayed on the Sodastream website (i.e. your full name and email will not be published).
3.How do we moderate online reviews for publication?
Reviews will be moderated before they are published on the Sodastream website to check they are relevant to the product that is reviewed and are not offensive or otherwise inappropriate to publish. Sodastream reserves the right to not publish reviews which it reasonably considers:
- contain profanities or explicit language/materials.
- are otherwise offensive, defamatory, libelous, harassing, abusive, vulgar, violent, hateful, obscene, political in nature or otherwise inappropriate, including with respect to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity or other personal characteristics.
- contain personally identifiable, private or confidential information.
- are spam, automated, fake, false, misleading or deceptive.
- are irrelevant to the product being reviewed.
- are repetitive (e.g. multiple reviews submitted by the same customer in respect of the same product purchase).
- infringe intellectual property rights (including publicity rights).
- contain software viruses or alike; or
- otherwise should not be published due to legal / regulatory reasons.
Sodastream will aim to publish on the Sodastream website all genuine reviews which comply with this policy within 14 days of submission. We may also share your review on our social media and/or other marketing materials.
If your review is not published on the Sodastream website when you believe it should have been, please let us know by sending an email to customercare-sa@Sodastream.com.
